The Narrows are known as one of the most popular hikes at Zion National Park, a true "do not miss." However, many adventurers arrive at this national park, one of the Top 10 Most Visited National Parks in the United States, without the right gear to enjoy the hike. Rick says Zion Adventure Company specializes in outfitting people for hiking the Narrows in Zion National Park. This popular destination is a remarkable experience, but many who come from all over the world to visit the park don't arrive with right equipment so they can physically enjoy it. This frustration was actually the genesis of Zion Adventure Company. The two company founders were dedicated hikers and outdoor adventurists and came on an extensive trip from their home in Pennsylvania to visit the West. They came to Zion and ended up at the Narrows. They hiked up the main canyon and arrived at the river where they had to stop because they didn't have the right gear to go on. That's when it hit them that they probably weren't alone, so they formed their company to specifically to outfit for the Narrows.
Their idea has worked out better than they could've anticipated. They now serve up to 70,000 people a year, so there's a ton of traffic coming through the building. Most people find them on the web, but others hear about them locally through hotels, restaurants and other satisfied customers.
