SALT LAKE CITY — A group of four people forced their way into a home Sunday then assaulted the woman living there when she woke up, police said.

The woman was sleeping in her basement when the group forced entry into the home, located near Richards Street and 2100 South, through a side door upstairs at about 6:20 a.m., according to the Salt Lake City Police Department.

Two of the four people involved were identified by the woman as being Jamie Pullman and Jordan Matthew Lucia, who used to be her roommates, according to Sgt. Robin Heiden. The woman told investigators that Lucia forced her to the ground and kicked her in the face when she confronted them in the home.

“It wasn’t a random act,” Heiden said. “That house was targeted because the suspects used to live there, so it’s not something that is just happening in the neighborhood, where they’re going and picking random houses.”

The group stole recently purchased furniture items from the home, which belonged to the victim, and loaded them into a U-Haul truck, according to investigators.

Police are still looking for the four people involved with the incident. Anyone with relevant information can contact the Salt Lake City Police Department by calling 801-799-3000 or texting 274637 with the keyword TIPSLCPD.
