SOUTH SALT LAKE — Police say they have located four 14-year-olds suspected of setting a vacant apartment building ablaze.

The four teens — three boys and a girl — were seen leaving the scene of the Jan. 26 fire at 3045 S. 395 East. Following tips from witnesses, the group was located the next day, South Salt Lake police spokesman Gary Keller confirmed Tuesday.

The Salt Lake County District Attorney's Office is currently screening the case, Keller reported.

The four-story building near State Street and 3300 South was unoccupied at the time of the fire and was scheduled for demolition. The building was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived and was ruled a complete loss.
