OGDEN — An Ogden man is facing felony charges after police say the boy's mother discovered the man in her 14-year-old son's bedroom and called police.
Matthew Lee Wolf, 46, is charged Tuesday in 2nd District Court with sexual exploitation of a minor, a second-degree felony, after Roy police arrested the man on Sunday. He was also charged with burglary, a second-degree felony; two counts of unlawful sexual activity with a minor and distributing material harmful to a minor, third-degree felonies; plus sexual abuse of a minor, a class A misdemeanor.
Wolf and the young teen met online through an app and exchanged sexually charged messages and pictures, according to charging documents. Police say Wolf later went to the boy's home, snuck into his bedroom without his parents knowing and engaged in sexual activity with him.
The boy's mother caught on to Wolf's presence and let him know he "was not welcome," but the man stayed in the boy's bedroom. The charges state.
"Police were called and responded to the home, where they removed Matthew from the minor's bedroom," according to the charges. Wolf allegedly "stated that he shouldn't have continued his sexual activities with him, but he liked (the boy) so he carried on anyways."
