Nyama leads Stony Brook's comeback, 72-66 over Hartford

STONY BROOK, N.Y. (AP) — Roland Nyama scored 19 of his 22 points in the second half and led Stony Break back from an eight-point deficit to beat Hartford 72-66 on Wednesday night.

Nyama had six points during the Seawolves' 15-0 run to take the lead for good, including the 3-pointer that capped the run at 55-48 with 6:15 left.

Taylor Dyson's 3-pointer pulled Hartford within two at 57-55 with 4:17 left, but Stony Brook (15-8, 6-2 America East) answered with five straight points and made 10 of 12 free throws in the final 1:02.

Rayshaun McGrew had his seventh double-double of the season with 10 points and 13 rebounds for the Seawolves. Jameel Warney and Carson Puriefoy added 13 points each.

Taylor Dyson led the Hawks (11-10, 4-4) with 15 points. Corban Wroe added 13 points and Mark Nwakamma scored 10. Hartford led by 10 in the first half and 48-40 with 10:48 left.
