Randall Jeppesen reportingThe higher fuel prices go, the more Utahns are looking for more fuel efficient cars.
Karen Ford drives an SUV and cringes every time she fills the gas tank. But she's hoping electric cars become popular in the next couple of years, when she's looking to buy the next vehicle. She says, "We'll I sure hope that it doesn't go up to $5, $6 a gallon."
Over at Family City Motors in Orem, Brett Swope says cars that get over 30 miles per gallon don't sit on the lot very long. He said, "I can't keep enough of those cars here."
A cars.com survey shows that once gas hits $4 a gallon, 85 percent of us will be looking for a more fuel efficient vehicle.
