Wyoming rallies for 64-59 win over San Jose State

SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) — Larry Nance Jr. had 18 points and a season-high 13 rebounds, Josh Adams had a season-high 20 points and Wyoming beat San Jose State 64-59 on Saturday night.

Riley Grabau made all six of his free throws in the final two minutes to help Wyoming (13-2, 2-0 Mountain West Conference) hold off the Spartans (2-12, 0-2).

The Cowboys fell behind in the early minutes and trailed until Nance made a pair of free throws with 6:25 left. Charles Hankerson Jr. added a layup to cap a 10-0 run with Wyoming up 50-46. Hankerson finished with 12 points and Grabau scored 10, all on free throws.

San Jose State never regained the lead but pulled within 56-55 on Darryl Gaynor II's 3-pointer with 2:13 left.

Gaynor led the Spartans with 17 points. Ivo Basor scored 14 and Rashad Muhammad 13. San Jose State took control with an early 15-2 run and led 31-23 at halftime.
