OTTAWA, Ontario (AP) — A man faces several firearms charges following a shooting at an Ottawa mall.
The Ottawa Police Guns and Gangs Unit said Wednesday that it has arrested and charged 26-year-old Yaqoub Ali. Police say he faces a slew of firearms charges.
A man in his 20s was wounded in the foot in Friday's shooting outside the Tanger Outlet Mall. It occurred on Boxing Day, one of Canada's busiest shopping days of the year.
Police have said the shooting was targeted and involved members of the same gang.
