NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Nate Frye scored a career-high 22 points to lead New Orleans to a 90-60 win over NAIA Central Baptist on Tuesday night.
Frye, who came into the game shooting 36 percent from the field, made 7 of 9 shots and 7 of 7 free throws.
New Orleans (4-5) led 12-10 before scoring 18 of the next 22 to blow the game open. The Privateers took a 46-28 lead into halftime and led by as many as 30 after the break.
Mon'Darrius Benson scored 15 and James Brown added 11 for Central Baptist, which was outrebounded 49-29 and made just 2 of 13 (15 percent) from 3-point range and 12 of 28 free throws.
Christavious Gill scored 15 for New Orleans, which shot 53 percent from the field. Terrance Syon added 14 and Kevin Hill 10.
