FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) — Ako Kaluna scored 15 points and three Northern Arizona players reached double figures Sunday in a 71-45 rout of NAIA San Diego Christian.
Gaellan Bewernick had 13 points, Kris Yanku scored 11 points and Quinton Upshur had 10 for the Lumberjacks, who shot 25 of 53 for 47.2 percent from the field.
Yanku dished out six assists and had nine rebounds, and Len Springs grabbed 13 boards and had three blocks for Northern Arizona (5-8), which outrebounded San Diego Christian 53-23.
Upshur and Kaluna each drained back-to-back 3s during a 21-2 run to help the Lumberjacks build a 42-13 halftime lead, and they stretched it to 51-19 at the 15:25 mark.
Peter Beale-Wirsing scored eight points and three others San Diego Christian players scored seven. The Hawks shot 17 of 55 from the field for 30.9 percent.
