FARGO, N.D. (AP) — Lawrence Alexander scored 20 points and North Dakota State beat Division III Northland 83-59 on Sunday.

A.J. Jacobson added 17 points, Dexter Werner 15 points and seven rebounds, Evan Wesenberg 12 points and Paul Miller 10 points and seven rebounds for North Dakota State (8-5). The Bison ran their home record to 6-0 in completing their nonconference schedule.

North Dakota State led 46-31 at halftime after shooting 16 of 24 for 67 percent. Northland made 14 of 27 shots for 51.5 percent in the half but the Bison were 8 of 9 from the free-throw line while Northland missed its one attempt. The Bison continued to build on their lead in the second half and finished at 60.4 percent, including 8 of 18 from beyond the arc.

The Lumberjacks (2-7) were led by Gerald Bates with 16 points and Tyrin Vann with 12.
