TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (AP) — Martez Harrison scored eight of his team's 11 points in the second overtime to help Missouri-Kansas City get past Indiana State, 73-70 Sunday.
Harrison drilled a 3-pointer with 13 seconds left in regulation to force overtime and drilled another with 1:50 left in the first overtime to give the Kangaroos a 62-57 lead. Khristian Smith knocked down a 3 and Brenton Scott add two free throws to force a second extra period.
Harrison's two free throws gave UMKC a 70-66 lead, Deshon Taylor added a pair of free throws with 9 seconds left and Noah Knight split a pair to preserve the win.
Harrison finished with 34 points to lead UMKC (5-9), hitting 9 of 16 from the field, including 5 of 10 from distance, and 11 of 12 from the line.
Scott finished with 18 to lead Indiana State (4-8).
