RENO, Nev. (AP) — Washoe County road crews are applying de-icing solution to local roads and highways in anticipation of a winter storm that should bring a white Christmas to the Sierra. The National Weather Service says a strong cold front will move through western Nevada tonight into tomorrow on the heels of record-high temperatures.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Nevada and the federal government have agreed to keep studying whether the U.S. will bury radioactive material at a former nuclear weapons proving ground north of Las Vegas. Gov. Brian Sandoval and Energy Secretary Ernest Moniz say more than a year of negotiations have yielded a signed agreement for what they're calling senior-level talks.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — A Cirque du Soleil performer was injured during the finale of the company's Las Vegas-based Beatles "Love" show on Monday. Cirque spokeswoman Kala Peterson says the performer was transported to a local hospital and later released. Peterson offered no other information about what happened.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — UNLV pulled off one of its biggest wins in recent years by knocking off No. 3 Arizona 71-67 last night. UNLV refused to back down, playing more aggressively most of the game to end Arizona's regular-season nonconference winning streak at 39 games. Christian Wood had 24 points and 10 rebounds and Rashad Vaughn added 21 points.
