TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — Angel Delgado scored 16 points and Seton Hall cruised past South Florida 89-69 on Thursday.
Sterling Gibbs had 14 points, Brandon Mobley 11 and Isaiah whitehead and Khadeen Carrington added 10 points apiece for Seton Hall (9-1), which shot 54 percent — including 11 of 20 from beyond the arc.
The Pirates raced out to an 8-2 lead, pushed the margin to 10 on Gibbs' layup with 9:08 left in the half and led 45-33 at the break.
An 8-2 run at the start of the second half — including four points by Gibbs — put the Pirates up by 28 and South Florida never mounted a comeback.
South Florida (5-5) was paced by Chris Perry's 16 points and eight rebounds. Ruben Guerrero had 13 points and Bo Collins added 11. Anthony Collins had 10 assists for the Bulls.
