AUBURN, Ala. (AP) — Auburn has signed three junior college prospects, including national player of the year Jovon Robinson.
The Tigers announced the signing of the highly rated running back, quarterback Jason Smith and defensive tackle Maurice Swain on Wednesday.
Robinson was the National Junior College Athletic Association player of the year after setting junior college records with 2,387 yards, 34 touchdowns and points scored (204) last season at Georgia Military College. He is the nation's top-rated junior college running back according to recruiting services.
Smith passed for 1,566 yards and 18 touchdowns last season at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. He also ran for 10 touchdowns.
Swain was Smith's teammate and posted 32 tackles and 6 1/2 tackles for loss.
