FORSYTH, Ga. (AP) — A FedEx truck crash along a Georgia interstate sent packages spilling all over the highway just nine days before Christmas.
Monroe County sheriff's spokeswoman Allison Selman-Willis says the truck driver says he was hauling two trailers Tuesday morning and lost control after the second one became loose. Cleanup was ongoing into the afternoon and some packages were destroyed.
The truck veered across I-75 and hit the median. One of the trailers split open, flinging packages everywhere. Selman-Williams says a passenger in the truck has been hospitalized.
A FedEx truck also overturned in New Jersey on Monday, one of the company's busiest shipping days of the year.
FedEx spokeswoman Connie Avery says customers with questions on their shipments should track their packages online, or call if they believe their package has been damaged.
