NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Golden State forward Harrison Barnes has returned for the second half against New Orleans after leaving Sunday night's game to receive treatment for a cut in his mouth and bloody nose.

Barnes was hit hard by an elbow from Dante Cunningham as the Pelicans forward, who had the ball, pivoted near the basket on New Orleans' offensive end. Barnes has returned with one of his nostrils plugged and Warriors officials say he also needed two stitches in his mouth.

Earlier, forward Anthony Davis was scratched from New Orleans' lineup because of a chest injury that occurred Friday night in a victory over Cleveland.

Pelicans coach Monty Williams says Davis is sore and the club wants to be cautious about an injury the coach referred to as a "freak deal."
