MILLCREEK — Police arrested one man and are hunting for another after a car fleeing police crashed through a front yard and almost hit a house.
Police said two men were in a white Mini Cooper, sifting thought mailboxes near 1750 East and 3100 South.
Police responded to a call of a suspicious vehicle in the area around 3 a.m. and spotted the men. When the pair saw police, they drove away and led police on a chase.
“(They) couldn’t control the vehicle after making that turn and ended up crashing into the front yard of a home,” explained Lt. Justin Hoyal of the Unified Police Department.
Hoyal said they narrowly missed the house when they plowed into the front yard.
Police discovered the driver, identified as 35-year-old Patrick Craver, had multiple felony warrants out for his arrest. Hoyal said the car was stolen from Cottonwood Heights.
Police with K-9s arrested Craver but he is not cooperating with investigators, Hoyal said. Police do not have a description of the man still on the run.
Updates will be posted as they become available.
