HENRICO, Va. (AP) — The Henrico County School Board is looking to sell more than 20,000 used laptops.
Bids are being solicited for more than 9,000 Apple laptops and more than 14,000 Dell laptops used in elementary or middle schools.
County officials sold laptops used by high school students, along with related equipment, in December 2013 for about $1 million.
The school division's director of technology, Peter Taylor, tells the Richmond Times-Dispatch (http://bit.ly/124JWBP) that bidders typically are resellers.
The laptops will be sold in bulk.
