(KSL News) A man was flown to the hospital this afternoon after an electric shock left him in critical condition.

The man was part of a crew using a crane to move concrete slabs at Clydeco Building Supplies in Mapleton. The crane got too close to a power line, and the electricity shot down a wire attached to the crane.

The shock traveled to the man on the ground and knocked him unconscious. He was stabilized at the scene then flown to the University of Utah Medical Center.
