NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. (AP) — A police investigation is underway into the death of a baby in North Las Vegas.

Investigators say 1-year-old Hadriel Darnell was taken to the hospital in critical condition after being found unresponsive on Monday and was pronounced dead on Thursday.

The Clark County coroner's office has not yet released the toddler's cause of death.

Police say the circumstances surrounding the death are under investigation and no charges have been filed so far.

The names of the baby's parents were not released.
