CHICAGO (AP) — The Chicago Bulls were without Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah for their game Tuesday night against the Orlando Magic.
Rose sprained both ankles during the Bulls' loss Friday night to the Cleveland Cavaliers and missed Saturday's at Minnesota. He took part in Tuesday's morning shootaround and was deemed probable to play, but was ruled out about a half hour before the game after taking part in warm-ups.
Kirk Hinrich started in place of Rose, who has played in only 12 games since tearing the ACL in his left knee during the opening round of the 2012 playoffs.
Noah, who is averaging 6.3 points and 10 rebounds, is sick. He will be re-evaluated before Wednesday's game in Milwaukee.
Taj Gibson, who didn't play Saturday because of a sprained left ankle, is back and will start in place of Noah.
