(KSL News) Former Utah County Commissioner David Gardner has been arrested again for driving under the influence.
Gardner was pulled over last night outside of a convenience store in Springville with what police say was a blood alcohol level far beyond the legal limit. The arrest came just hours before he was scheduled to appear in court for a different case.
Gardner bailed out of jail last night and was in court this morning, where he took a plea deal to a charge of sexual battery.
He pleaded no contest to misdemeanor assault, after he was accused last year of fondling a 26-year-old woman who was riding in his car.
