SALT LAKE CITY — A chilly October is a good time for Utahns to cuddle up with a blanket and enjoy some spooky entertainment.
While many people enjoy a favorite scary movie, others delight in a funny, scary or traditional Halloween episode on television.
Here is a list of classic TV episodes from America’s favorites.
Boy Meets World: “And Then There Was Shawn”
When Cory, Topanga, Shawn and Angela end up in detention, John Adams High School appears to be haunted. When they discover a dead body, they team up to determine who the killer is — until they realize it’s one of them.
Community: “Epidemiology”
Dean Pelton accidentally orders a zombifying virus with the costume he bought for his Halloween party, and everyone enters a zombie world. ABBA music plays in the background as the cast endures a rabies outbreak.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer: “Fear, Itself”
Buffy and the gang attend a Halloween frat party and find themselves fraternizing with zombies, skeletons, talking heads and a bowl of eyeballs. Giles comes to the rescue with a chainsaw after the group gets separated.

The Peanuts gang celebrates Halloween, but it’s a rough night. Linus sleeps in a pumpkin patch to wait patiently for the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown gets rocks for candy and Snoopy fights the Red Baron.

The original "Treehouse of Horror" is just the first installment in a list of 24, with one airing each year. In the first one, the Simpson children tell scary stories in their treehouse about the family moving into a cursed house, getting abducted by aliens and reenacting Edgar Allan Poe’s “The Raven.”
The X-Files: “Home”
Scully and Mulder investigate a baby’s death found in a shallow grave. Three brothers who live on a local farm are suspects and police are shocked to find what lives in their house.
Parks and Recreation: “Meet n’ Greet”
Andy and April throw a Halloween party but don’t let Ben know, while Leslie tries to stump for votes in the business community.
