LANDOVER, Md. (AP) — Jake Locker's bruised right thumb has ruled him out for the Tennessee Titans' game against the Washington Redskins.

Locker is on the inactive list for Sunday's game. Charlie Whitehurst is set to make his second start in a row and his third of the season.

Locker hurt his thumb two weeks ago in a loss to the Cleveland Browns.

Tennessee defensive end Ropati Pitoitua is also inactive with a broken left pinkie.

For the Redskins, cornerback David Amerson is active, having recovered from a concussion suffered in the previous week's loss to the Arizona Cardinals.

Washington linebacker Perry Riley misses his second straight game with a sprained MCL in his left knee.
