UINTAH COUNTY — A 45-year-old Vernal man was killed when he rolled his UTV about 200 feet to the bottom of a ravine Saturday.
The man was apparently turning the UTV around a steep embankment and was thrown from it when he rolled, according to Uintah County Cpl. Brian Fletcher.
Deputies with the Uintah County Sheriff’s Office located the man four miles north of the Uintah County landfill in a remote area early Sunday, Fletcher said. The man was hunting and was reported missing after he didn’t return home Saturday night.
The Uintah County Sheriff’s office was investigating the accident. The man’s name was not released pending notification of his family.
