A new study says emergency rooms across the country are so full, some are turning patients away.
University Hospital spokesperson Chris Nelson they planned for the future.
Chris Nelson: "University Hospital expanded its emergency department in 2003. We now have more than 30 beds in our emergency department so we actually built with enough room to grow."
Nelson says they're getting a lot of patients who are coming in for things other than emergencies. He says that they are better served by their primary physician.
