SALT LAKE CITY — Cutting a pineapple can be pretty time-consuming and tedious for some people. Instead of skipping the pineapple on sale or buying the expensive prechopped fruit, try this easy food hack that just takes a few cuts to make serving pineapple a fun experience.

YouTube user DaveHax runs a channel with videos on how to make life at home easier with simple tricks. His pineapple-cutting hack was uploaded just last week and already has almost a million hits.

No complicated slicing and dicing here. You don’t even have to cut off the stem. Just slice the pineapple in half. Quarter it. Run your knife between the fruit and the skin and then slice the fruit, creating triangles. If you’re cutting the pineapple for a party, stagger the pieces left and right so they’re easy to grab.

Is this too easy for you? You can try peeling a pineapple like this savvy Filipino street vendor. This hack takes a little more experience with a knife. He can completely chop a pineapple without removing the skin in about 50 seconds.
