OREM — Police are looking for a man they say is connected to four armed robberies in Utah County.

Orem police believe Josef Hardesty first robbed Hungry Howie’s Pizza in Orem on Sept. 21 with a small folding knife, demanding money from the register. Later that week he robbed a business in American Fork and another in Springville using the same weapon, police said.

Around 1:15 p.m. Sunday, he robbed a north Orem Subway, also at knifepoint, Orem police said. He was wearing dark colored jeans, a T-shirt and baseball cap at the time of the robbery, police said.

“We need to know if there is anybody that's seen this guy,” Orem police Lt. Craig Martinez said. “He's been bouncing around all of Utah County, each time he comes down here that we know of, he robs somebody.”

Hardesty was released from jail at the end of August, police said.

Anyone with information about Hardesty’s whereabouts is asked to call the Orem Police Department at 801-229-7070.
