CHICAGO (AP) — Chicago Bears defensive end Jared Allen is inactive for Sunday's game against the Green Bay Packers because of an illness, ending a string of 113 starts for the five-time Pro Bowler.

Allen, who did not practice this week, is sidelined for the first time since 2007. He was suspended the first two games with Kansas City that year for driving under the influence. Willie Young is starting in his place.

Receiver Brandon Marshall is active after being listed as questionable because of a sprained right ankle.

The Packers are holding out starting middle linebacker Brad Jones (hamstring). Linebacker Clay Matthews (groin) is active after being listed as probable.
