Robertson leads Villanova in 41-7 rout of Penn

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — John Robertson threw a career-best tying four touchdown passes, all in the first half and Villanova routed Pennsylvania 41-7 on Saturday.

Robertson connected with four different receivers for scores, including a 36-yarder to Earnest Pettway and a 66-yard strike to Kevin Gulyas. Poppy Livers and Mike Burke also had touchdown catches. Gary Underwood had TD runs of 54 and 14 yards and the Wildcats led 41-7 at the break.

Villanova (3-1) has scored 140 points in the past three games.

Robertson finished 15 of 21 for 230 yards and did not play in the second half. He also threw four touchdown passes in the Wildcats' victory last week over James Madison.

Kyle Wilcox had a 67-yard touchdown run in the second quarter and finished with 93 yards to lead Penn (0-2).
