EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) — Houston running back Arian Foster, the NFL's second leading rusher, was not active for the Texans' game against the New York Giants on Sunday.

Foster was limited by a hamstring injury at practice this past week and was listed as questionable Friday. He worked out in the end zone before the kickoff.

Foster had carried 55 times for 241 yards and a touchdown in Houston's first two games. Rookie Alfred Blue replaced him in the starting lineup. He gained 40 yards on 12 carries.

There were no surprises among the Giants inactives because linebackers Jon Beason and Devon Kennard and rookie receiver Odell Beckham Jr., were ruled out Friday. Beckham, the first-round draft pick, has not played this season.

Jameel McClain replaced Beason at middle linebacker.
