CANADENSIS, Pa. (AP) — Police in Pennsylvania aren't saying much to neighbors in an area where the suspect in the deadly ambush at a state police barracks lived with his parents, but they're keeping the neighborhood largely shut down as they search for the man. Self-taught survivalist Eric Frein (freen) continues to elude capture in a remote part of northeastern Pennsylvania. Authorities have lifted a shelter in place order but urge residents to be cautious.

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Authorities say one of five central California jail escapees remains on the loose but four were caught Saturday night. Authorities around the state are still looking for Roel Soliz. Police say the men were being held in custody on various charges including attempted murder and armed robbery. It's unclear how they escaped, but they were gone for about an hour before they were discovered missing.

WASHINGTON (AP) — White House security is getting some tweaking after a breach that allowed a man who jumped a fence to actually enter the front door. President Barack Obama insists he still has confidence in the beleaguered agency's ability to protect him and his family. In addition to stepped up security, there will be a comprehensive review of the incident. Another man was arrested Saturday outside the White House in an unrelated event.

SYDNEY (AP) — Finance chiefs from the 20 largest economies say they are close to reaching their goal of boosting world GDP by more than $2 trillion over the next five years. Australian Treasurer Joe Hockey, who hosted the Group of 20 meeting, says finance ministers and central bankers agreed to more than 900 policy initiatives and will focus on infrastructure investment to help reach the target. The G-20 represents about 85 percent of the global economy.

MEXICO CITY (AP) — Tropical Storm Polo is following on the heels of Hurricane Odile south of the Baja California Peninsula. The storm is whipping up waves and dumping more rain on already waterlogged residents. The National Hurricane Center in Miami predicts a weakening Polo will continue losing strength.
