LYNCHBURG, Va. (AP) — Josh Woodrum threw for a touchdown and ran for two more in Liberty's 38-21 victory over Bryant on Saturday night.

Woodrum completed 24 of 34 passes for 319 yards for the Flames (3-1). D.J. Abnar ran for 79 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries. Darrin Peterson had 8 receptions for 110 yards.

John Lunsford began the scoring for Liberty with a 57-yard field goal in the first quarter. Woodrum scored next on a 10-yard run followed by a pair of rushing TDs by Abnar.

The Bulldogs (3-1) were trailing 24-0 late in the second quarter when Dalton Easton hit Ricardo McCray from 11 yards for a Bryant touchdown. McCray ran it in from 2 yards out following a Liberty fumble for a second TD as the first half came to a close and the Flames led 24-14.

Easton was 14 of 27 for 106 yards and a touchdown.
