COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) — Missouri defensive end Markus Golden injured his left hamstring in practice this week and did not start against Indiana (1-1) on Saturday.

The senior is considered "day to day," according to a team spokesman.

Golden appeared on the field before the game wearing a gray shirt and black athletic shorts. He gave a hug to defensive line coach Craig Kuligowski while the rest of the position group participated in drills.

Golden entered the day ranked fifth nationally in both tackles for loss (6½) and sacks (4.0). Teammate Shane Ray led the country with 7½ tackles for loss and ranked third in sacks (5.0).

Redshirt freshman Charles Harris is making his first career start in place of Golden for the No. 18 Tigers (3-0).
