PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — A judge in Portland set bail Thursday at $10 million each for the meth-addicted parents accused of murder by abuse in the death of their newborn baby girl.
The Oregonian reports (http://is.gd/t6I3fK ) Sarah and Jamie Mangus are scheduled for trial in April in Multnomah County Circuit Court. They also are charged with manslaughter in the death last April of the girl who lived about 12 hours. The autopsy showed she died of methamphetamine intoxication and pneumonia.
The couple had been living in a tent. They have pleaded not guilty.
