SEATTLE (AP) — King County health officials have gone to court for an order to stop a man who has infected at least eight people with HIV from spreading the virus that causes AIDS.
The superior court order issued last Thursday orders the man to follow a health department "cease and desist" order and to show up for counseling and treatment appointments.
KIRO reports (http://bit.ly/1pbyIjb) the man who is identified only as "AO" was diagnosed with HIV in 2008 and has spread the disease through unprotected sex.
If he fails to follow the order he could be jailed for contempt of court.
