LAS VEGAS (AP) — Authorities have identified a young motorcycle rider who was critically injured and a passenger who was killed after they crashed into a truck in a Las Vegas driveway.

Clark County coroner's officials say 19-year-old Edgar Perez-Velazquez of Las Vegas was killed in the crash that happened a little before 6 a.m. Sunday.

Investigators say the accident happened when 21-year-old motorcycle driver Yeltsin Cardona tried to make a left turn at Montello Avenue, near the intersection of Charleston and Nellis boulevards.

The motorcycle ended up jumping a curb and hitting a Toyota Tacoma that was parked in a driveway.

Cardona was taken to University Medical Center in critical condition. Perez-Velazquez was pronounced dead at the scene.
