Brandon Wood belted a grand slam to cap off a five run sixth inning, as the Salt Lake Bees rallied from an early 2-0 deficit to beat the Portland Beavers 9-4 on a rainy Monday night. The Bees trailed 2-1 when Brad Coon, Freddy Sandoval, Terry Evans and Matt Brown opened the sixth with four straight singles to tie the game. Wood then drilled a 2-1 pitch from Portland's Shawn Estes off the scoreboard in left center to put Salt Lake ahead to stay.

Shane Loux (4-0) earned the win as he worked six innings and allowed three runs on six hits, as the Bees won their ninth straight game overall and their franchise record eleventh consecutive road win. Sandoval led the Salt Lake attack with four hits, two runs scored and two runs batted in, while Wood added three hits, two doubles and a homer, with four RBI.
