(KSL News) Contrary to earlier news reports, former artistic director Jonas Kage is not planning to sue Ballet West.
Kage's lawyer told The Salt Lake Tribune negotiations had broken down and Kage was planning to sue for breach of contract. But Kage now tells The Deseret Morning News there have been some miscommunications, but he and his lawyer are still trying to work with Ballet West to find a severance settlement.
Kage was released from his contract a year early.
Ballet West said Kage voluntarily left his post, but Kage says the board forced him to resign.
