ALLEN PARK, Mich. (AP) — The Detroit Lions made a pair of waiver claims Tuesday, acquiring former Dolphins tight end Michael Egnew and former Eagles fullback Emil Igwenagu.

Egnew played in all 16 games for Miami in 2013, making seven catches for 69 yards. Igwenagu spent most of his two seasons in Philadelphia on the practice squad.

The Lions released tight end Jacob Maxwell and guard Bryce Quigley to remain under the 75-player roster limit.
