COPENHAGEN, Denmark (AP) — The Tinkoff-Saxo cycling team has signed two-time Giro d'Italia champion Ivan Basso.
The 36-year-old Basso, who served a two-year doping ban from 2007, signed a two-year contract with the team.
Team owner Oleg Tinkov says "with Alberto (Contador), Peter (Sagan), Rafal (Majka) and now Ivan, we will become the No. 1 team."
