Singh finishes 12 shots back at Fiji International

NATADOLA BAY, Fiji (AP) — Vijay Singh, playing at home on a course he designed, finished 12 strokes behind winner Steven Jeffress of Australia on Sunday at the inaugural Fiji International.

Singh, a three-time major winner, closed with a 1-over 73 and tied for 10th place. He designed the Natadola Bay Championship course, which features 15 oceanside holes.

Jeffress shot a 2-under 70 to finish at 10-under 278 to win by four strokes in the Australasian PGA Tour and OneAsia event.

Australia's Jake Higginbottom (70) was the runner-up. Countrymen Terry Pilkadaris (71) and Andrew Dodt (76) were eight strokes behind the winner. Jeffress and Higginbottom led by two strokes after three rounds.

South Korea's Hur In-hoi was nine strokes off the lead.
