LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Tiger Woods is in Louisville. Whether or not he takes part in the PGA Championship remains a secret. The winner of 14 major tournaments appeared at the course today and started a practice round. He withdrew from last week's event with back spasms.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Defending PGA Championship winner Jason Dufner is in Louisville to defend his title but is doing so in discomfort. The 37-year-old is suffering from a sore neck, caused by a degenerative arthritic condition. He had an epidural early last week, and then tied for 66th in the Bridgestone Invitational.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Because of the return of golf to the Olympics in 2016, the PGA of America has announced that the 2016 PGA Championship will be played in July that year. That means both the British Open and the PGA will be in July, a month before the Olympics in Brazil.

BEREA, Ohio (AP) — Brian Hoyer, not Johnny Manziel (man-ZEHL'), will start the first exhibition game for the Cleveland Browns. Coach Mike Pettine (PET'-ihn) says Hoyer has "done nothing" to have his starting job taken away during training camp. Pettine also said Manziel may get some playing time with the starters during the game.

INDEPENDENCE, Ohio (AP) — The newest members of the Cleveland Cavaliers were introduced to local fans today. Mike Miller and James Jones have signed with the Cavs in the wake of the return of LeBron James to Cleveland. All three played for Miami when the Heat won two NBA titles.
