NEW YORK (AP) — U.S. stocks are mixed this morning as the market tries to recover from a two-day slide last week. At 10:35 a.m. Eastern time, the S&P 500 edged up 3 ½ points to 1,929. The Dow Jones industrial average was down 5 points to 16,488. And the Nasdaq composite rose 8 points to 4,360.

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) — P.F. Chang's is providing more details on its ongoing investigation into a security breach. It says data may have been stolen from certain credit and debit cards used at 33 P.F. Chang's China Bistro restaurants in Baltimore; St. Louis; Pittsburgh; Austin, Texas; and Charlotte, North Carolina. P.F. Chang's confirmed in June that data from credit and debit cards used at its restaurants were stolen, but didn't specify the locations at that time.

NEW YORK (AP) — AutoNation says its sales grew 8 percent in July, making it its best July result since 2006. The company says it sold a total of 27,484 vehicles for the month. The Fort Lauderdale, Florida, company says domestic vehicle sales grew 8 percent, import vehicles rose 7 percent, and sales of premium luxury vehicles climbed 17 percent.

NEW YORK (AP) — Michael Kors' first-quarter net income jumped 50 percent, led by surprisingly strong sales overseas. The luxury retailer earned $187.7 million for the three months ended June 28. That compares with $125 million a year ago.

NEW YORK (AP) — The Tribune Co. has completed the spinoff of its newspaper business and has changed its name to Tribune Media Co. The move had been expected. Tribune first announced plans to separate its television and print businesses a year ago. Its newspaper arm will be called Tribune Publishing Co. and include newspapers such as the Los Angeles Times and Chicago Tribune. Shares are set to start regular trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol "TPUB" tomorrow.
