LAS VEGAS (AP) — Police are searching for a motorist involved in a hit-and-run accident that killed two pedestrians from Georgia near the Rio Hotel-Casino in Las Vegas.
Investigators say a 71-year-old man and 74-year-old woman, both from Kennesaw, Georgia, were trying to cross a street when they were struck by a car late Friday.
Police say they were not in a crosswalk at the time, and were pronounced dead at the scene.
Their names were not immediately released.
Police say the driver of a dark-colored Nissan Sedan fled the scene without stopping.
The 10 p.m. accident is under investigation.
