DEL MAR, Calif. (AP) — Irish Surf won the $100,000 Cougar II Handicap by 8 1/4 lengths at Del Mar on Friday.
Ridden by Elvis Trujillo, Irish Surf ran 1 1/2 miles in 2:29.01 and paid $17.60, $6.20 and $4.
Sky Kingdom returned $3 and $2.40, while Ice Cream Truck was another 1 3/4 lengths back in third and paid $5 to show.
