(KSL News) Skateboarders in West Valley City are pushing officials to build them a skate park. Currently, the only places to skate in the state's second largest city are parking lots, schools and even churches.
The city had planned to build a skate park five years ago, but the plans fell through when a developer pulled out of the project.
The city's mayor says he too would like a park in the city. He says he has three teens who want the park gathering more information and staffers examining the feasibility and possible locations.
