ATLANTA (AP) — The Georgia Department of Community Health has announced additional vendors for state employee health insurance coverage.
Officials said Tuesday that United HealthCare and Kaiser Permanente have been chosen to offer coverage to members of the State Health Benefit Plan.
Officials say United HealthCare will offer members the option of a statewide HMO, a high deductible plan and Medicare Advantage for retirees.
Kaiser Permanente will offer a fully insured in-network only plan in the metro Atlanta area. Officials say Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia is still one of the state's approved providers.
Officials say the State Health Benefit Plan is still finalizing 2015 plan designs and premiums.
