SALT LAKE CITY — A derailed TRAX train caused delays in downtown Salt Lake City Thursday morning and afternoon.

The train derailed near the 400 West and South Temple intersection around 10:40 a.m., police said. One person sustained minor injuries.

Utah Transit Authority officials told commuters to expect delays for the Green line and Blue line trains. A temporary "walking bridge" was established between the Arena and Planetarium stations until 2 p.m.

To supplement the TRAX service, UTA planned to run a shuttle from the City Center and Temple Square stations to the North Temple FrontRunner station from 3 to 6 p.m.

More information will be posted as it becomes available.
